In The Round
Full-circle storytelling of musicians and their music.
In the Round is dedicated to highlighting musicians on their artistic journeys. Whether they're local, regional, or touring coast to coast, they all have great stories to tell. We want to hear about the funny stories, the heartwarming stories, the lows, the highs, and the unexpected moments. Hosted by D (Diana Weishaar) who is also a musician, we dive in and get to know the artists behind the music, putting conversation at the forefront and encouraging listeners to fall in love with the music but even more so the people creating it. At the end of each episode, catch a clip of their performance live at Trilix Studio, and subscribe to the YouTube channel to see the full videos (youtube.com/@InTheRoundPodcast).

We talk about the music-life balance, her “New Song November” songwriting challenge, the journey that took her to Brooklyn, and where she’s headed next.

Joel Sires is proudly a man without a plan. Influenced by John Prine, The Beatles, and ‘60s one-hit wonders, he let the music guide him into a sound that’s uniquely Joel – a collection of achingly beautiful, folk-led songs, some laced with humor and others observational. Having played since he was young with his ragtag yet highly talented group of brothers and cousins, Joel cut his teeth by gigging consistently and cranking out new songs every show. All those hours of practice and experience paid off, developing him into the salt-of-the-earth songwriter he is today. Stick around after the chat to hear a snip of Joel’s new song “Any Pair of Eyes” recorded live at Trilix Studio.

Originally a solo project of singer & guitarist Bo Becker, bassist Mythias Keahna and drummer/lyricist Javi Rodriguez came on board in 2018 to form a supergroup of sorts, releasing their first album in February 2020 right before the world shut down. They talk about the music scene, the nostalgia of cassette tapes, and how they keep the creative juices flowing while not taking themselves too seriously.
